Flame Maple Turning Blank

(Acer macrophyllum)

Limited to stock on hand, these beautiful maple turning blanks offer exceptional flame-figuring and rich color that varies from caramel to grey to dark brown, with flame figure present in all blanks. Not only do they turn and sand easily, but Flame-figured Maple is the perfect material for using coloring dye to enhance the figure and add eye appeal.  

All blanks are unseasoned and should be rough-turned, sealed, and allowed to dry before final shaping and finishing. We recommend turning the bowl to 1" wall thickness throughout and sealing it with Tree Saver wood sealer to allow it to dry before final turning.
