The Robust 3/4” Negative Rake Box Scraper features a unique cutting profile ideal for cutting side walls and flat bottoms on end-grain boxes. The small radius point at the bottom corner of the tool automatically creates a smooth transition from the side wall to the bottom for the perfect touch. Made from heat-treated M2 High-Speed steel that is “Nitrided” using carbon and nitrogen to significantly increase wear resistance, the negative rake angle eliminates dig-ins and provides smooth, controlled cuts. Radiused corners on the underside of the tool allow you to tip it at an angle for shear scraping and even more effective cutting. To maintain the nitrided cutting surface on the top side of the tool, only sharpen the bottom bevel. Sold unhandled. Made in USA.
