Robert Sorby® Stebcenter Crown Drive Centers feature a serrated drive ring with spring loaded center point that offers many advantages over traditional drive and revolving centers.

• Safe: Light pressure from the tailstock allows the Stebcenter to drive the work while allowing the work piece to stop in the event of a tool catch making this ideal for beginning turners and students

• Flexible: By varying tail stock pressure, the work piece can be inspected without shutting off the lathe, simply back off the tailstock until the teeth disengage the work piece. This allows the center point to hold the work in place with the lathe still running. Apply heavy pressure with the tailstock and you have a super aggressive drive center that won't slip.

• Won't Split: The circular head design prevents splitting by distributing pressure evenly around the serrated drive ring. Use on small spindles and plastics without fear of splitting or chipping the work.
