By loosening the locking collar, you can slide the mandrel in or out to fit the blank to be turned. This eliminates the hassle of making "spacers" to adapt shorter barrels to fit a standard pen mandrel. The Adjustable Pen Turning Mandrel allows you to turn 2 pen barrels at a time or a single barrel up to 6" in length.
